Azure Palace Resort & Casino

A simulated 5,000-room hotel casino. Five buildings. Valet, bell desk, room service, concierge, and maintenance — all running simultaneously. The property is simulated. The actions are real — jobs are created, routed to departments, assigned to staff, and completed inside a live system. This is exactly what your team would see on day one.

22 Years. One Patent. The Problem Nobody Solved.

The real problem wasn't the technology.
It was getting operators to actually use it.

I spent 22 years running valet, parking, and hotel operations. I built AVPMi — deployed across 12 countries before I sold it in 2016. I watched every major hotel brand look at voice technology and walk away from the same wall: complexity, cost, and no path to operator adoption.

In 2017 I filed a patent for the consent and validation architecture that changes that. In 2020 the patent was granted. In 2025, AI let me build it alone — no developer, no technical partner, no middleman.

Years in valet, parking, and hotel operations. Built AVPMi. Sold it in 2016. AVPMi deployed in 12 countries. This is not a theory.
7
Years the patent sat unused. Not because the idea was wrong. Because there was no way to build it alone — until now.

US Patent 10,580,098 B2 · Granted March 3, 2020

The product is the operations layer.
The patent is the trust layer
beneath it.

Every AI system that enters a hotel room faces the same question before it can do anything useful: does the guest actually want it there? Most systems skip that question or bury it in terms of service. The patent is a validation architecture — a structured consent mechanism that gets explicit guest approval before any AI channel activates. No approval, no activation.

SMS is the first channel. Alexa integration is coming. Whatever channel comes next sits on the same foundation. The validation layer is what makes all of it deployable — to guests who care about privacy, hotels who have legal departments, and regulators who are paying attention.

What the Patent Covers
Guest Validation Architecture
US Patent 10,580,098 B2 covers the consent and validation mechanism that governs how AI systems activate in a hotel room. The guest explicitly approves. Only then does the channel open. Filed 2017. Granted 2020.
What This Means in Practice
No Approval. No Activation.
The architecture is channel-agnostic. It governs voice, SMS, or anything else. A guest who opts out gets nothing. A guest who opts in gets a direct line to every department — on their terms, in their language, at any hour.
Current Integration
SMS. Now. Alexa. Next.
BellDesk launches with SMS — the channel every guest already has. Alexa skill integration is built on the same validated architecture and is coming. The patent doesn't depend on Alexa. Alexa depends on the patent.
Why It Matters Now
GDPR. CCPA. What Comes Next.
Consent isn't a checkbox anymore — it's a liability question. The validation architecture was built before most hotel tech companies were asking it. That's not luck. That's 22 years of knowing what breaks when a guest feels like a data point.
Platform Features

Everything a five-star hotel actually needs. Nothing it doesn't.

Built for operators, not for demo rooms. Every feature came from watching real hotels break — and knowing exactly where the fix should go.

📱
Zero-Friction Guest Channel
A single SMS link transforms any smartphone into a full-service request terminal. No app. No QR code headache. No front desk required. The guest is live in 15 seconds.
Live Operations Dashboard
Every job, every department, every SLA — visible in real time. Campus map view shows overdue jobs by building. Management finally sees the operation as it actually runs.
🎯
Multi-Department Routing
Requests route automatically to Room Service, Valet, Maintenance, Concierge, or Bell Desk — with the right SLA clock for each. No more radio chaos. No more missed handoffs.
🏨
Multi-Property Support
Run one property or forty from the same platform. Each location gets its own configuration, staff roster, and reporting. Corporate oversight with property-level accountability.
🔒
Consent-First Architecture
Consent gates everything. No data stored before opt-in. No tracking without permission. Built for GDPR from line one — not retrofitted for compliance after the fact.
🌐
Multi-Language, Instant
English, Spanish, Portuguese — and growing. The guest communicates in their language. The operator sees it in theirs. AI handles the translation without a translation department.
📊
Efficiency Intelligence
SLA tracking, completion rates, overdue patterns, staff performance — surfaced automatically. The system tells management what the morning debrief never quite captured.
🤖
AI-Powered by Claude
Claude handles guest communication, request interpretation, and intelligent routing. The AI understands context, not just keywords. A request for a quiet room is not the same as a maintenance complaint.
🎰
Casino & Resort Ready
Valet, entertainment bookings, spa requests, gaming floor assistance — BellDesk handles the full scope of a resort operation, not just room service and extra pillows.
Alexa Skills Integration — Coming

The hotel room finally has a voice.
If you wanted.

Every hotel looked at Alexa and stopped at the same wall. Guests don't want a device listening to their private conversations. We filed the patent in 2017 for the validation architecture that eliminates that objection.

Guest approves — Alexa activates. Guest declines — nothing happens. SMS is live now. Voice comes on top of a foundation that's already been granted.

Channel-agnostic validation
One architecture. Every channel.
The consent architecture governs voice, SMS, or whatever comes next. One approval mechanism. Every integration inherits it.
Guest in control
No approval. No activation.
A guest who wants silence gets silence. A guest who wants voice gets voice. The system waits to be invited.
Today SMS. Tomorrow voice.
SMS launches first. Alexa follows.
The patent doesn't depend on Alexa. Alexa depends on the patent.
